web.xml question

hi, good day to all,

i using tomcat 5.59 , i have a problem when tomcat start load it , it prompt me the error like parse xml error on web.xml, then i try many way to fix it , including change my jdk from 1.4 to 1.5 , and now i even just make the web.xml as follow :


it still give the the error as below :

Parse Fatal Error at line 90 column 1:

Since the web.xml you have been fiddling with does NOT have a line 90, one has to assume that it is another web.xml causing the problem. Note that in the ../conf/ directory we have the default web.xml which is used as the base for all servlet configuration and is always the first web.xml to be read.

Rather than flail around when I get a web.xml error, I fire up XML Spy and let it locate the problem. It is really easy for a simple typo to screw up an XML document.
