When I am running startup.bat from the command promt I am getting the error as:- Oct 1, 2006 6:40:39 PM org.apache.catalina.core.AprLifecycleListener lifecycleEvent INFO: The Apache Tomcat Native library which allows optimal performance in production environments was not found on the java.library.path: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_02\bin;.;C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\bin;C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\system32\WBEM;C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.0\bin;.;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_02\bin;C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\bin;C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\system32\WBEM;C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.0\bin Oct 1, 2006 6:40:40 PM org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11BaseProtocol init INFO: Initializing Coyote HTTP/1.1 on http-8080 Oct 1, 2006 6:40:40 PM org.apache.catalina.startup.Catalina load INFO: Initialization processed in 1813 ms
I looks like it's starting. Have you changed the port to which Tomcat is bound? Do you have any firewall software that would keep you from connecting to port 8080?

When I am doing startup.bat the second command prompt opens and dissapear quickly
In that case I recommend that you change the last executable line in startup.bat to use "run" instead of "start" - that way the process continues in the same window and you can probably get a clue as to what is failing. Bill
