tomcat starting problem

Hi,

When I am running startup.bat from the command promt I am getting the error as:-

Thats a new one on me, but here is the Apache tomcat page that talks about this module.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for the reply, but still I am not able to find the solution.

When I am doing startup.bat the second command prompt opens and dissapear quickly and then in the log files I see these errors.

That's an information notice, not really an error.

If you didn't setup the new JNI component, then Tomcat startup and binds to the port the way it always does.

Are you having any problems; other than seeing that message in your logs?

Hi Ben,

Yes, The problem is tomcat is not running when I am doing http://localhost:8080.

I looks like it's starting.
Have you changed the port to which Tomcat is bound?
Do you have any firewall software that would keep you from connecting to port 8080?

In that case I recommend that you change the last executable line in startup.bat to use "run" instead of "start" - that way the process continues in the same window and you can probably get a clue as to what is failing.
