Hi

The major difference is https is secured, http not secured.

HTTPS conducted over a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection, this encrypts your data for optimal security.

Standard HTTP login transfers your data over the Internet like a standard Web page. Most Web-based e-mail accounts are limited to this format. The advantage of using the Standard HTTP is that it is faster than the Secure HTTPS login.
