hi,

i am doing a project ..in which i need to write code for retreiving parameters of apache tomcat server..the parameters which i want to retreive are as follows:

1-the number of the websites running in a Server

2-Website Status...like whether it si up or down in apacher server at that particular time

3-HTTP GET/POST Request for each Website..it means that it gives the total count for get method and post method request made by the user for each website.

i am new to this ..i could not understand where to start with and how to start..please guide me in right way....

thanks in advance to all ....

Some of this information is available through the manager web app. Since that is based on JMX (I think), it should be possible to connect to Tomcat with a JMX client and retrieve that information: Monitoring Tomcat

The users and passwords are stored in {tomcat-home}/conf/tomcat-users.xml. You will want the password for the 'admin' account.
