Error after installing Tomcat.

I installed Apache Tomcat 5.0.30 using the windows service installer.
Afer installing, when i tried to open the page http://localhost:8080/admin, i got "The Page cannot be displayed".
Please help me with the required informatons.
What should i do to make it work properly.

check whether Web Server service is running or not? mean Server is running or stop.

to make sure about the service try http://localhost:8080/

if it runs then go to the Tomcat Manager and check admin.jsp is there or not ?

you need to check every step and follow to configure it.

"The Page cannot be displayed".

sounds like one of those "friendly" Microsoft IE messages that conceals the actual error message. There is an option to turn them off so you can see the real reply from Tomcat.

Try Internet options dialog -> advanced settings - uncheck the "friendly" HTTP error message box.
