Can someone give me information about tomcat5w.exe
Does it come with all the Tomcat versions?
And what is the exact purpose of it?

I can tell you it comes with tomcat 5.5.
You can use it to start and stop tomcat. Also it allows you to configure the logs, startup and shutdown parameters.
Is this what you where looking for?

Amruta Agarwal, this whole forum is dedicated to questions on Tomcat, so a subject of "Tomcat" is not very informative. Please read this for tips on choosing good subjects.

That file is the Tomcat executable for Windows.
No, it doesn't ship with all versions.
I don't have it in the tar.gz version.

Hi Pablo,

Thanks for the information. That is what I was looking for.
Where can I get more information on it?
Is a similar exe given with the other versions of Tomcat?

Thanks,
Amruta.

What kind of information are you looking for?

It's a detail that for the most part is taking care of by Tomcat?
What are you trying to do with it?
