Problem with Work folder

some time, When i make some changes in JSP or JavaScript, these changes cant get reflect that time on Running mode. i need to manually stop Tomcat server and delete work folder and also need to Build project - Than these changes get reflect when i start tomcat and see in browser. Is there any way to automate this process or avoid problem. pls help this regards.

Have you tried using the Tomcat Manager to restart the web application? Seems to me that should force Tomcat to re-examine the JSP timestamps and recompile the pages that have changed.

A typical Tomcat installation will have a discussion of setting up and using the Manager in the tomcat-docs directory. Look for html-manager-howto.html and manager-howto.html files.

How to change JSP compilation timestamp

Your JSP file gets a new timestamp every time you save it. The resulting class file gets a timestamp when created.
