I have a chunck of classes in package lab.blah.blah.blah.....

and set the log4j.properties to be

log4j.logger.lab.blah.blah.blah=DEBUG.

I notice some classes which contain log.debug(blah blah) in them don't do the right thing, they keep quiet.

What can cause that probe?

Many thnx

Is it log.debug("blah blah") instead of log.debug(blah blah) ?
How are you getting log ?
