Getting Started With WebDAV

I am attempting to configure WebDAV in tomcat 5.5.16 in hopes of using tomcat to host our automatically generated Maven sites. Unfortunately, it's not working.

I followed the instructions and uncommented the readonly init-param in the webdav servlet web.xml, but attempting to open http://localhost:8080/webdav/index.html as a web folder in IE 7 fails.

Ultimately, I want a WebDAV-enabled site under the /maven-sites context, but don't know what to do next.

Can anyone help?

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
