I am new to jsp/servlet. I installed tomcat5.0. I tested by running home page http://localhost:8080. Then I tested HFSJ's first practice example Beer Selection Page. The file is in webapps/beer/form.html and url http://localhost:8080/beer/form.html but I get HTTP status 404 error. If I keep the html file in webapps/ROOT/beer/form.html then the page runs successfully. Pl guide me.

Have you make a entry of form.html in your web.xml's <welcome-file-list> tag?
Other wise you should not work properly
