I'm supporting a J2EE production application and the stack thread dumps of the server showed that it's running the Hotspot client VM.

Full thread dump Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (1.4.2_02-b03 mixed mode)

Should I run the app with the HotSpot server VM ? Will I get performance improvements ?

Thanks

Pho

Yes, I would recommend that.

With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
