Hi ,

I want to set up a task which runs at a scheduled time everyday using JBoss. Is there any documentation/samples available?

Please guide.

Hi,
I have tried the method mentioned in the JBoss Admin guide. I have created an SAR file and deployed my code in JBoss. But when I try starting the server, I am getting the following Exception:

org.jboss.deployment.DeploymentException: org.jboss.varia.scheduler.Schedulable.<init>(); - nested throwable: (java.lang.NoSuchMethodException: org.jboss.varia.scheduler.Schedulable.<init>())
at org.jboss.system.ServiceConfigurator.install(ServiceConfigurator.java:178)
at org.jboss.system.ServiceController.install(ServiceController.java:215).......... 81 more

Please help.

looks like you did not put the jboss-service.xml in META-INF.

keep your class in proper package structure and keep the jboss-service.xml in the META-INF folder. then create .sar and deploy in the JBOSS_HOME/server/default/deploy

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.
I put my files in another example sar file and it is working fine.

So it looks like, the problem was with the .sar file.
Can you please guide me on how to create a .sar file? Is there any commands like creating a jar?

Thanks,
Bismi
