Unexpected SHUTDOWN

PROBLEM:
JBoss 4.0.2 servers shutting down unexpectedly in production.
(OS=Linux 2.4.21-32.ELsmp)

In server.log, it said "JBoss SHUTDOWN: Undeploying all packages".
We had this problem a while back and we thought we fixed it by using the jboss_init_redhat.sh which spawns a separate process that is not tied to the user's session. This way, we thought that if the OS session is 'closed', JBoss will keep running. But now, we see the same problem again. JBoss will SHUTDOWN by itself and at the same second, we will see a log entry in OS '/var/log/messages' file that said the user's session is closed.

I am going to keep searching the web and ask JBoss support but this is a big problem for us, so, I thought I will ask here also.

Thanks for reading this post. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

You probably want to make sure JBoss is running as a system service/daemon that starts at system startup.

Hopefully the following page will help.

I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
