There's a lot of MBeans deployed in JBoss AS. I want to develop a third part monitor tool by using these MBeans. But, I am a little confused in getting the exact MBean that I need. For example, I don't know if there is a MBean which can provide the message about responding time of the AS.

How can I get to know what is the function that every MBean provides?
If there is any document?

Thank you for your help!

You can always see what MBeans are deployed through the jmx-console and web-consoles that are web applications that are running when you start JBoss, then you can explore yourself.

As far as a monitoring tool, your best bet is to read up on the JMX Api, and that is what defines MBeans, and there you could find out a programming way to determine what interface those mbeans are showing.
