I am new to jboss. I am using jsps and servlets for presentation and business logic. I would like to know the place where the jsp files and servlet files are placed in jboss environment? Are they placed within bin by creating a new folder? What is the url for that and the port number for jboss server?

You will have to package those jsps and servlets into a war file and place it in %JBOSS_HOME%/server/default/deploy folder. Once that is done, you can start the JBoss server using the run.bat present in %JBOSS_HOME%/bin folder. And once the server has started successfully, you can access your application through http://localhost:8080/yourApplicationName
