Question on Log4j NOT restarting

I am running JBoss 4.0.5-GA on Eclipse 3.2.1 with the JBoss Eclipse IDE plugin and when I PUBLISH to the server Log4J gets shutdown but does NOT restart and consequently I am not seeing anything get logged to the console. I do not have another Log4j properties file in my application. We are using commons-logging.

This is driving our team crazy. I cannot find any reference to this particular scenerio on the JBoss forums anywhere.

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated!! I've tried posting in the JBoss forums but I am getting no response.

Here is what the stack trace shows:

07:59:35,238 DEBUG [MainDeployer] Undeploying file:/C:/server/jboss-4.0.5.GA/server/default/deploy/S
CMWebEAR.ear, isShutdown=false
07:59:35,238 DEBUG [MainDeployer] Stopping sub deployment: file:/C:/server/jboss-4.0.5.GA/server/def

Looks like the application itself (and not log4j) is being undeployed. Was it done intentionally?

If I understand your question correctly, it is my understanding that when in Eclipse working and I make a change to my code, i have to publish to the server JBoss again in order for my server to see the changes. The build occurs successfully but my app is redeployed and it is just that log4j does not restart. If fact it is taken down.

I did not send the build script but here is what it looks like:

Thanks again for any help or direction.
