I am using Jboss4.0.5.If the server is up and the request doesnt come for a long time then Jboss halts.I need to press ctrl+c on the jboss console.
It works fine after that. How can I overcome this behaviour?

Did you by any chance (left) click on the console? Doing so, "pauses" the server. And in such a state, you will have to hit "Enter" or "Ctrl-C".
