JBoss AS Deployment

Hello guys,

I am experiencing problems in JBoss deployment.

I have downloaded the jboss-4.2.0.GA Application Server.

I have unzipped the package in F drive, F:/jboss.

I have jdk 1.6 installed on my system.

These are my environment variables.

Ant Home - F:\apache-ant-1.7.0-bin\apache-ant-1.7.0

JAVA_HOME - C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_03

JBOSS_HOME - F:\jboss;

path - %JAVA_HOME%\bin;C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\bin;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;%ANT_HOME%\bin;C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\jdbc\lib\ojdbc14.jar;C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\jdbc\lib\ojdbc14_g.jar;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_03\lib;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_03\lib\tools.jar;%JBOSS_HOME%\bin

I have changed the port to 8090 in server-xml file of this folder, F:\jboss\server\default\deploy\jboss-web.deployer

Becoz i have Oracle xe running on 8080.

When I enter the run command from jbosss\bin directory from command prompt,

When i enter, http://localhost:8090 in the browser, it says cannot find server.

I do not figure out where the problem is.

Can anyone help me in this regard.

JBoss isnt yet qualified to run with Java6. Use Java5 and see if it works. I would also recommend to install Java (and JBoss) in a folder which does not have a space in its path. I see that you have installed Java in "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_03" which has a space in its path. Weird issues have been seen when Java is installed in a folder with space in its path.
