Whenever i run my Jboss on Linux or Solaris, I find out that i can only access
the URL using http://localhost:8080 but when i try to use its IP address
(http://192.168.1.4:8080) it can't find the page, I have tried running other App Servers like oc4j and websphere and this run fine , is there something i am missing

NB on windows Jboss works well using the Ip and localhost

Which version of JBoss do you use? If it's 4.2.x then use the -b option while starting JBoss through run.sh. See this for more details.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
