This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
I have Eclipse with JBoss 3.2.5 configured. When the Users access my application the size of the log file is getting increased to some GB's. It lowers the performance of the application. If i delete the log files, then the performance is maintained. Can anyone provide me suggestions on avoiding the creation of log files.
Which log file are you interested in? Is it the server.log or is it your application's log file? If you are talking about server.log file, then edit the log4j.xml file which is under %JBOSS_HOME%\server\< serverName>\conf folder to configure the "FILE" appender. That log4j.xml already has a commented out section as an example for size based log file.
