performence issue

Hi,
Can any one help in this its urgent in production environment

issue:

My application is deployed in jboss application server on Linux machine
right now this application logs are consuming more memory if i turn it off application is working fine,if i made logs level to INFO still its consuming more memory

but log file size is only 20MB

After turn off application logs memory usage is 300
before turn off application logs memory usage is 900

how to fix this or can any one guide me how to fix this issue its high priority issue

At the high level, you can reduce the amount of logs being generated. If you use the log4j or similar logger, you can change the level of logging. Say for example, from DEBUG to ERROR etc., it would reduce the amount of logging!

Don't force ranchers to read by use the word "URGENT".. this will make us leaving your post aside.. As far your case you opt the Raghavan's suggestion which is best suited in your case..

hi thanks for reply,

here problem is while writing it into log file its taking
memory usage is more how to reduse that memory usage

this memory usage is causing low performence

What tool are you using to determine this memory usage?

How do you determine that the memory usage is the cause for the low performance?

(I'd ask more questions, but you have probably already seen them in the other forum post you made...)
