Using IPAddress and localhost

Hi,

I am using jboss server for accessing my local application.

Earlier I had worked with the jboss server by specifying both http://localhost:8080/prjName and http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xx:8080/prjName.

Now, I can access only http://localhost:8080/prjName. If I specify run -b xxx.xxx.xxx.xx then I can access the project with name ipaddress but not with localhost.

Here I would like to know how could we access the web pages using both types of url..

Regards,
Hari

Starting JBoss-4.2.x, this change was done, where the services are by default bound only to localhost. Have a look at JBoss42FAQ for details.

Thanks Jaikiran,

Its working fine with the suggestion gave by you.

Problem solved.

How to minimize the port address (say 8080) in the url while a project deployed in a jboss.

Could you please explain a bit more? I don't understand what you mean by minimizing the port address. Are you saying, you want to access the application without specifying the port number?

The minimize the use of port number in url (8080) in the url.

eg:
http://localhost:8080/CustomerDashboard

I would like to access the project without the port number specified in the url as such.

http://localhost/CustomerDashboard

Can you please help me out in solving the problem...
