Using log4j with iPlanet

When using log4j with iPlanet it doesnt log the class name and line.
eg the following message is outputted from a java servlet class running in iPlanet webserver:

Have you ever seen this before ? Is there some setting in iPlanet that prevents log4j from accessing the class name ?
