Using log4j with iPlanet

When using log4j with iPlanet it doesnt log the class name and line.
eg the following message is outputted from a
class running in iPlanet webserver:
16 Mar 2004 17:48:29,195 ERROR [Thread-7] (?:?) - log msg here I've used log4j in weblogic and it outputs the class name and line number, fine.
Have you ever seen this before ? Is there some setting in iPlanet that prevents log4j from accessing the class name ?
