Has anybody managed to get the jspc.bat to precompile their JSPs ? Here's my command line:
And all I get is Unable to open taglibrary /tlds/utility.tld : d:\simple2\docs\WEB-INF\web.xml (The system cannot find the path specified) I don't have a web.xml file - all I have is a load of JSPs in various subdirectories of d:\simple2\docs All my JSPs have a line, so perhaps I need to use the -uriroot or -uribase option ? The taglibrary is located in d:\simple2\docs\tlds\utility.tld And I've tried -uribase d:\simple2\docs to no avail. Can anybody please shed some light please ? (This is related to my JDK1.4.0 gives up compiling on the fly type post earlier)

Aaargh! Managed to resolve the taglibrary issue by creating a WEB-INF directory in my root d:\simple2\docs directory and in that creating a web.xml file which had the following:
And now the JSP are being converted into *.java files So, the next step is to throw in the -genclass argument to jspc to compile the *.java in *.class files. And bugger. The java classes used by the JSPs have all been previously compiled against JDK1.4.0 and Jasper complains with a Invalid class file format: d:\simple2\docs\classes\uk\co\simple2\common\util\CmnUtil.class, wrong version: 46, expected 45 My life is destined to be hell until a JDK1.4 supported version of iWS appears on Win2K - which will no doubt mean more money.
