Creating a custom datasource in Jasper Reports and iReport

So many unanswered questions here... But I really need help.

I created a custom datasource class



Now, I have my jrxml which I created with iReport(and doesn't compile BTW). I wasn't able to specify my JavaBean datasource through iReport because I don't know how(my class is from a project folder)... So, I just replaced the field names manually as they would appear in the FixedInventoryJRDataSource class like this:




It just bothers me why I can't produce a .jasper file out of my jrxml file. There seems to be something wrong. My fields are highlighted in read in iReport and iReport doesn't show any error message.
