As a member of our team, you will work with a group of highly talented engineers, writing code and creating systems to support complex, dynamic, personalized, and high-performance Web sites that will experience huge visitor volumes and great visibility. Responsibilities Design and develop high-performance code for complex, high-volume, transaction-oriented, database-driven Web sites. Work with project managers and producers to assess site technology requirements and recommend solutions. Fully understand the existing site architecture, evaluate, and integrate new technologies. Work with Web engineers and content engineers (UI) in the organization to plan for and solve integration issues. Musts: BS in Computer Science Five years experience developing and deploying Web applications. Experience developing in a database-driven Web architecture. A deep understanding of core Web standards and technologies (including browser capabilities and limitations). Expertise building complex Perl and JavaScript projects. Previous experience in a product development team Hands-on knowledge of Windows, Macintosh, and UNIX (Solaris) environments. Experience programming with Java and/or C++ in a Unix environment. Experience with the software lifecycle. A detail-oriented, problem-solving attitude.
Pluses: Vignette development experience with Oracle. Strong system-level knowledge of applications development. Code performance-tuning experience in a high-volume, transaction-oriented venvironment.
