Would this discussion include OODB (such as, oh, say...Object Store) awareness? Does it make any difference? Or do JBuilder's features only work with specific RDBMS's? (I'm not sure how JBuilder interfaces with DBMS's to begin with, since my work has been isolated from the DB end of things so far)
I suppose I could just go and find out, but it would be nice to know what to expect, if possible.

I think the discussion is about JDBC. Is there a JDBC interface for ObjectStore?
If all else fails, there is a lot of good discussion at the beginning of the meeting.
The first time I went there were loads of excellent prizes. The second time I went, there was loads of excellent food.
It's been worth the trip every time for me.

Standing under the walkway that connects the buildings, head north into the building and keep left.

Or, you can alternatively go to the DJUG website where there is a link to a map!
