Hi folks ,
I have programmed using C++ and Java some projects that are very
small in size and scope.400 - 1000 lines of codes.I feel like I
need a lot to become good programmer. Now I have decided to go one step up to that direction: take a java programming class/training in DC Metro area. Some training centers give like 5 days training and that is it.That is not what I need.I need some one that take 2-3 month and give you solid knowledge and experience. Is there any place you know in DC area that is of help.
You can email me solhabtom@hotmail.com
Thank you
solomon

Look at http://suned.sun.com/USA - they have all types of Java classes available - I'd recommend SL-275 & SL-285 for starters.
Then I would take a few weeks to practice what you've learned. 2 months straight of learning with very little application means little retention.
After you've mastered those skills, then consider advanced classes like database, EJB, servlets or whatever.
If you truly want to have 2 or 3 months of instruction, look for a class at a local college - perhaps a masters level Java class.

This looks like a good topic for posting over in the Conventions/Training/User Groups forum.
