lps4biz is a brand new project hosted on java.net. It is a synergy of two outstanding open source projects, namely Open for Business Project (OFBiz) and Laszlo.

lps4biz integrates Open for Business Project and Laszlo Presentation Server (LPS), provides components and tools that enable rapid development of enterprise applications. It cuts down development and maintenance efforts of enterprise projects significantly.

In this presentation, the architecture of the OFBiz framework, in particular the robust Entity Engine and ready-to-go Enterprise Data Model, will be covered. And a live example will be available to demonstrate application development with LZX language of Laszlo.

Then, the presentation will be concentrated on the lps4biz project, including a demonstration of how the synergy simplifies development of enterprise applications, a discussion of the project road-map as well as what it will deliver eventually.

This is the monthly event of March of the !Hong Kong Java User Group(HKJUG). Please feel free to join the event!
