Tom (the moderator for this group) has suggested that I use this forum to announce the availability of my second volume, "Mastering The Fundamentals of The Java Programming Language." This book has been in the works for many years now, and I would greatly appreciate any feedback from other ranch hands. You can download it at The author can be reached at He will gladly respond to any questions or comments about the book.
The only thing that I would ask is that if you like the work, please help get the word out. It is tempting to think that things happen really fast on the Internet, but the truth is word still spreads one person at a time, and I can use all the help I can get.

Doug is the author of Java Rules, a 10 horseshoe book. His new book is even better than his first and is available to download for free!

Hi Douglous,
Just wanted to convey that I *LOVED* your book "Java Rules", which was recommended to me by Valentin, and I had a tough time procuring it since it is not available in India!
"Java Rules" rocks!!!

p.s. Thanks JR, I am already in love with this forum, never thought I could convey my feelings to the Author of Java Rules directly!
