My wish list ...

Here is my list of books, which I wish were available in Indian subcontinent. I have read some part from these books through library or a friend, and would love to buy them, but they are not available in India. (And buying them from Amazon or other international site is very very expensive!)
AW, here's my list -
1. Java Rules by Douglous Dunn
2. Effective Java by Joshua Bloch
3. Refactoring by Martin Flower
4. The Pragmatic Programmer by Andrew Hunt, et al
5. The Essence of Object-Oriented Programming with Java and UML by Bruce E. Wampler
Any publisher listening?
More later.....

A lot of these guys say "international shipping available" -

$4 for a copy of Java Rules seems pretty good to me.

Well, the pricing is a bit different here in Indian subcontinet (India, Nepal, Srilanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan and few other nations I guess). The books are printed locally; and paper cost, printing cost is much cheaper here which results in much cheaper books. So Kathy's book which costs about $39.95 USD (list price) on Amazon.com is available for Rs 350 INR (list price equivalent to 7.5 USD) in Indian Edition, and bokstores often offer some discount on list price; so ususally you won't find Indian buyers on Amazon.com or other international sites. For USD 50 + 4 I can buy 6 or more books, which are available in India. BTW, there's another wish-list of books which are available in India and I'd buy them in "not so distinct future". (After I get salary hike, maybe!)
Anyway, guys come up with your wish-list!

You missed the point. The book sells for $4 + shipping. Take a look at the link I posted. You should check out the amazon marketplace. Most don't do international but some do.

Yes, Indeed!!!
I missed the point completely, never thought I could get this book for USD 4. Do they really deliver it to you for that price + shipping? Also, what would be the cost of shipping it to India?
Thanks a lot Thomas!!!

I just noticed that India is not on the list of countries covered by amazon marketplace. But you could contact the sellers directly to see if they might be willing to ship to India. All the sellers have email addresses. Write to 2 or 3 and compare rates. Make sure you pick one that has a good rating.
