Kathy,

I thought in the rules you said the contest ended thursday at midnight, which was 7 hours ago or so...

Not that it matters, i'm just confused.

I always thought that 12:00 midnight was when the calendar change. so, if 11:59:59pm is wednesday evening, when we hit 12:00am it is thursday.

Again, it really doesn't make any difference, as it's Kathy's contest, Kathy's rules, and she can do whatever she wants.

It's really the 'pedantic literalist' in me just looking for clarification of the rules.

'cause, you know, they're the RULES!!!

i think i'll start an MD topic on "when does the date change"

Hi!
Contest closes *tonight* (Thursday) when the clock strikes "midnight" before turning into Friday, on Javaranch time (US Mountain Time... whatever *that* is).

So there's still plenty of time! I have no idea whether midnight is supposed to mean the start, or end, of a day. But Fred's right, these are my rules so you still have time

cheers,
Kathy
