Looking for a good struts book

I am looking for a good struts book. My impression of a good book is one that will

1) Give you a good introduction to the subject
2) Has examples that start of easy and slowly get more complex in subsequent chapters
3) The code examples match the struts version that can be downloaded from the apache site. Or it has a CD with the struts version on it.

I am currently working my way through Struts Kick Start. It has its own CD. The problem is that it has one easy example and then goes straight into this complex large example called stocktrader. It then becomes an exercise of putting this large program together with out really learning the components that make up the Stuts Framework.

What I would find helpful is a book that really concentrates ob basic struts with each chapter reinforcing the lessons from the last chapter.

Thank for any help Tony

Hey Tony,

Check out Struts in Action by Ted Husted, Manning Publications. They show a big picture view of how struts work and slowly they start zooming into the guts.

Good luck !!

You can download the source code here : http://www.manning.com/catalog/view.php?book=husted&item=source

It has code for both 1.0 and 1.1.
