What next HF books to come?

Hi all,

I am curious about what next HF books are to come. When I read Kathy Sierra's post at www.wickedlysmart.com I get the impression that we can expect a new era of wonderful HF books

I'm hoping that in a week or two we'll be able to tell you more about the next HF books coming out. I can tell you that none of the next batch is on Java... There are currently six other people besides Bert and I that are acting as the primary co-authors of the next HF books.

I would request Kathy to write a book for IBM XML exam. I started studying for this exam with the two suggested books on this forum. but I couldn't read those books. The books has too many pages, the print is too small. The sentences are too big. The moment I used to read the books , I would fall asleep.
I stopped reading those and the exam is still pending. I would really like if Kathy writes book for this exam in the similar way as the Head first other books.
I have used the one of EJB exam.

There's one HF book that's currently being written that I know about, there could be others off course

HF OO by Dave Wood

Looking forward to the new HF books.

Just started reading 'Head first Design patterns'(got a indian edition last week), it looks like a promising product.

While I can't specifically announce the new titles in the pipeline just yet, we do have a fair amount in the works. As we get closer I should be able to give you a few details.

Let me also turn this around... what titles would you like to see? (beyond XML) And, is there a title you'd like to write?

I also think that XML is already covered very well by the XML bible from Elliot Harold.

Concerning the next HF books, I had a smell around my nose that there are some new titles in preparation.

Now reading your email you seem to look for some HF writers

. That leads to the conclusion that you either didn't start with the preparation for the next planned HF series or that you are looking for writers for the next but one HF series ...

I think (but am not sure) that you intend HF OO as a book that covers the whole software development process hence I would change the name to HF Software Development or HF Development Processes because OO is only a part of the whole story.

I believe that after HF Design Patterns, this new HF book should round it up and make us as tough as possible in the real world to face the on time in budget drama.

Actually, the book really is much more about OO than it is about the software development PROCESS. I gave a little more detail in THIS POST.
