Bought the book a week or so ago, tried to download the free extra test from the Osborne/Learnkey website and no go. There is no place to register this book, download the exam, anything. There is no eamil address for Osborne/Learnkey only a phone number. Tried the number, had to leave 2 messages and so far no one hsa returned my calls.
Anyone know what gives???

The company that owns the exam engine had some difficulty with the bonus mock exam. As of yesterday afternoon (Wednesday) they seem to have worked the issue out and I expect the exam will be available in a couple of days.
When we know the exam is available we will post the news on the SCJP forum.

Bert thanks for the quick response. I'll keep checking the site.
FYI, I'm coder with over 15 years working in stuff other than Java, then management, then back to coding. Just want to let you know I really enjoyed HF Java. Took awaile staring at it at the local B&N because I had to come to terms with the cover art , but I was really happy I bought it once I started reading.
I've recommended the book at least 3 times in the last week to some mainframers and their manager at the current gig who were looking to move off of cobol.
Keep up the good work.... [ February 02, 2006: Message edited by: Steve Gibson ]

Glad to hear you enjoyed HF Java. We'd like to hear your opinion of the SCJP 5 book once you've plowed your way through it
