Hi Jignesh,

You might check over at headfirstlabs.com, too, they mention some of the next titles to come out.

As far as "when" goes, you're doing pretty good if you find out that a book will actually be published. The when part is usually a target date that tends to move (though it moves less the closer the book is to completion).

Anyway, Head First Ajax and Head First Objects for sure, plus I think HF PHP and MySQL are slated for this year at any rate. Not sure about others on the way.

Pauline and Satou are both basically correct.

Head Rush Ajax and Head First Objects are both close to done. There are a bunch of other titles getting started, and we're going to have a big meeting in two weeks about all the other titles. After that meeting we should have a better idea about what will come next

Bert

Hi Guys,

It's complicated, because there are many different publishing companies involved, but we're working with the publisher to get dates for as many books as possible.

That's a good question!

There are about 10 HF books underway, but we made another decision at our big meeting. Our observations over the last few years have led us to believe that writing a HF book is a pretty weird activity

A lot of really good authors have tried it and decided it was just too weird to continue. Because of this, we've decided that we want to let books in progress get a little closer to completion before we announce them, because we've disappointed people in the past, and we really hate doing that.

So, for now, there are a LOT of books being started, and hopefully, in a few months time we'll have some good news about books that are well underway!

hth,

Bert
