This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
Is it possible to see this book in the near future ?
I still wait for Head first Java Tools : Sun Java Studio Creator 2 Sun Java Enterprise 8 NetBeans Oracle JDeveloper
Wouldn't it be dreamy if there were the mentioned books in the market ? It's probably just a fantasy......
I thing that you should include the JSF topic in your AJAX or Servlet book.
There are a lot of factors that go into deciding which HF books to write, but two of them really apply to your ideas:
1 - Compared to normal tech books, it seems that HF books take longer to write on a page-for-page basis. 2 - In general, tech book sales are much lower than they used to be.
Because of these two factors, we've tended to shy away from books that are focused on tools that change frequently. Such topics end up being kind of a maintenance nightmare for the authors. On the other hand, if you can talk a vendor into sponsoring such a book it might make more sense
