Hello,
I was wondering if I can use the HFOOA&D book to study for the IBM Object-Oriented Analysis and Design with UML (Test 486)
The objectives are given here IBM bject Orinted Analysis and Design Objectives

Can you please tell me if I can use this as the primary study guide?

Also looking for inputs from people who have taken the test in the past and have now read this book. Would you say the objetives are well covered? or do I need to study uml distilled and Applying UML and patterns as recommened by IBM.

Hi Tontang,

I can tell you that the book wasn't written with that certification in mind. It could well be that the HFOOAD book would help, but we haven't done any analysis to really prove that.

Maybe we should

Thanks,

Bert

Hi again,

I just took a look at the IBM objectives. From what I can tell, the HFOOAD might be a good place to start, but you would certainly need additional study materials. It looks like this IBM cert. is less agnostic than the book.

hth,

Bert
