My suggestion:
1. Head First Servlets and JSP: Passing the Sun Certified Web Component Developer Exam (SCWCD) - The best money can buy.
2. Manning: SCWCD Exam Study Kit by Hanumant Deshmukh - Good book. Style is more formal.
If you have a penchant for trying out "Out of the BOX" approach Head First is definitely the one...
