Need something to review for the AP test.

I know Java pretty well if you don't count graphics or applets. I was wondering what you would suggest for studying for the AP CS test. I was going to take the AP class, but they notified me at the last minute that they figured out that I would have to pass a C++ course in two weeks and make a 90. Well, this wasn't working to well for me, so I think I may take the test by myself. What review books and study guides are good?

Big Java AP Version for Texas High School

On www.Wiley.com web site, there are a lot of editions of Big Java. Notice that only one is called Big Java AP Version for Texas High School.

Cay Horstmann is a professor of computer science at San Jose State University. He is also the author of several books on Java and C++, including Big Java. www.horstmann.com

I learned Java from Core Java Volumes 1 & 2. I was one of the technical reviewers for his college textbook, Object-Oriented Programming and Patterns. Just as I finished the review (in February 2003), the publishing company (John Wiley) asked me to review Chapter 21 Additional Algorithms and Data Structures for something they called the Advanced Placement Study Guide. They said Big Java did not cover a few advanced algorithms, so Cay was writing an extra chapter.

Big Java is enormous. It�s hard to believe everything in the book is required for the AP exam. It would be nice if the AP version tells you what to study and what to skip over.

Do I see prefix arithmetic?

I noticed that about most Java books. They tended to cover way more than was required like Applets and graphics which they don't even talk about on the test. I was looking for something pretty bareboned, but I will look in to this book
