Mercury Interactive's test tools

My company has licenses for these Mercury Interactive products:
My team has built web applications using J2EE, JSP, and Servlets.
Is LoadRunner the better tool for testing web applications?
WinRunner appears to be geared towards testing desktop applications.

They are aimed at testing different things
WinRunner - a test automation tool which can capture, verify and reply user intereactions automatically. This is useful for those repititios and boring tests which need to be run
LoadRunner - a load testing tool which will emulate thousands of users using your system and will monitor the performance and isolate problems.

I expect that you will probably want to use both of them to full test your system. Hope this helps
