Editing a post

and I noticed that the and was not working. I went in using the pencil and paper. In the edit box that came up a portion of the post was missing.
Starting from

until the start of the following [CODE] section just was not there. Any clue???

Maybe it has something to do with quoting a message that has both a QUOTE section and a CODE section in it?

I don't know. It looks correct on the forum. It's just in the edit box that it gets messed. So now I am afraid to edit it for fear of really goofing things up.

It's this lousy UBB software. What do you expect when someone uses Perl instead of Java to develop a forum!

UBB generates the HTML that we see so if there is something in the post that confuses it then that section of the post will magically disappear and there is no way to reconstruct it as far as I can tell.
