which is the best book to look through to know about software development life cycle.......is the Software Engineering (6th edition) book by Roger Pressman worth buying.please guide me......

Your subject says that you wanted a testing book. However, in your message body, you're saying you wanted a SDLC book.

If you want the former, I read from somewhere that JUnit Recipe is a very recommendable book. Browse through Amazon for both the former and the latter and look at their readers comments and ratings along with their salability. That would tell you a hint on which is the right book for you.
