If you want to unit test JSP pages, you might want to take a look at JspTest.

If you want to unit test Servlets, you might want to look at "mock objects".

If you want to integration test JSP pages and Servlets, you might want to look at tools like Selenium and JWebUnit.

You can use more than one tool. For example, it is common to use JUnit to unit test servlets and a tool like Selenium to integration test the servlet/JSP.

I've only ever used the quickstart documentation and then simply experimented with the API to figure out how to do stuff. And, of course, asking specific questions online about stuff I don't seem to be able to figure out myself.

Cactus could be used for integration testing server-side code such as Servlets and JSPs by deploying the tests (and the code under test) to a web container such as Apache Tomcat or Jetty. This differs from JWebUnit and Selenium, for example, where the tests are running in a separate process and exercise the application under test purely through its external interface.

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
