Hi,Buddies Recently I feel the job market has a great demand for software engineer to master the OOAD. So I decide to sit down and renew the whole thing in a short time(say around one month). I think this certification test will force me to focus on it. Does anybody know the value of IBM OOAD Certification in the job market? Is there any other OOAD certification test accepted by the market? Please do reply regards richard

well the ibm ooad test is accepted by the jcert member companys. however i dont really know how valued it would be to a perspective employer. [This message has been edited by daniel schulken (edited February 27, 2001).]

currently i dont know how much the test costs my guess would be around $150usd . try 2test i cant get to there site from work.

Very Valid Question. I passed the test 1 month back, but did not get any help to secure a job in the current slowing down US Market. I see everybody stressing on UML/OOAD but the certification is yet to pick up. even after passing the test, i don't find that i can do better designs or anything of that sort. It probably makes you eligible to read UML Digrams that other would have made. To be a real expert in design etal, the test is just the beginning nothing more than that. I hope i haven't dicouraged you.
