As I understand, the design patterns are not to be used for design?

Sorry, Robert, there is no way to tell which Design Patterns to use from the requirements.
Design Patterns are rather focused solutions for very specific problems - and you won't know much about those problems before you started designing/implementing.
So, you don't decide about the usage of design patterns up front, but while you are evolving the system.

The soul is dyed the color of its thoughts. Think only on those things that are in line with your principles and can bear the light of day. The content of your character is your choice. Day by day, what you do is who you become. Your integrity is your destiny - it is the light that guides your way. - Heraclitus
