Hi, If you are talking strictly from the test point of view, since it is not mentioned in the IBM recommended book list, it is not required. However, you can't gain sufficient foresight without browsing through this book. Also, I would like to mention that this book is difficult to digest. So donot start it from Page 1 and continue further. You may consider this book as a standard reference for the basic design patterns. I would suggest you read Larman for patterns initially and supplement your reading with the GOF book as and when you come across the patterns in the Larman's book.By doing this you would have atleast started with the GOF book. Hope this helps, Sandeep [This message has been edited by Desai Sandeep (edited June 26, 2001).]

thanks Sandip for your help.
I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to
run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
