What OOA/D artifacts are the most important to update?
a) use cases
b) interaction diagrams
c) class diagrams

what would you answer?

Update? In the event of what that they require an update. Is it a change in Design or Analysis?

I would select B (Interaction Diagrams) and C (Class Diagrams).
This however doesn't mean that Usecases should not be updated.My choice is based on the fact that if you have reached the Design phase of the project, then perhaps you will not be required to look back to the Analysis phase artifact, which is Usecase.Again, Usecases could be a artifact at the Design Level too; but it is mostly associated with the Analysis phase.
