jsp and weblogic 6.1

I am using weblogic6.1, ( downloaded evaluation copy )
Placed my jsp file uner defaultapp . Where to place my class file which I am trying to instantiate in jsp. I am not using usebean tage. Trying an import.I am quite new to Java. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
