Congratulations to JavaRanch's two new Sheriffs:

Marilyn deQueiroz

Carl Trusiak

Marilyn has been doing and excellent job of running the Cattle Drive for several months now. This is an enormous task, involving "nitpicking" dozens of assignments a day. She is getting some small releif as she is taking on assistants for the job. This job is extra tough since it never lets you take a day off - those greenhorns gotta have their feedback!
Carl has been handling every little task that comes along for many months now. He always gets it done fast and the quality is first rate. He has recently taken over the book promotions - an enormous task requiring about ten hours per week. And timing is everything!
Giving these two full access to all of the controls of JavaRanch will only make the ranch a better place for all of us.
Thanks and congratulations Marilyn and Carl.

Thanks. I'll try to be worthy of the honor.

Congratulations to you, too, Carl. I was just telling someone last night that I thought you'd be a sheriff soon.

Congratulations to Carl and Marilyn.
It's nice to see JavaRanch recognize and reward hardwork. I need to send my employer an email of this link.

Well done, and welcome. It's a good job we sheriffs are the open and friendly folks we are, 'cos there's no "sheriffs only" forum to complain about bartenders behind their backs

Actually I'd be more afraid of a Bartenders only forum now

Congratulations Marilyn & Carl.
I'like the fact that the "nitpicker" is now a sherrif. Its like being arrested for bad coding
